The Fort Polk-KNF Oversight Committee met three times during FY19 to review and evaluate SEMP monitoring results. Committee meetings were held in November 2018 and in May and August 2019 at Fort Polk, Louisiana. The quarterly Committee meeting originally scheduled in February 2019 was not held due to the shutdown of the federal government from December 22, 2018 through January 25, 2019, and the resulting furlough of many federal employees.

The Oversight Committee omitted one metric under Objective 3-1 and approved one metric under Objective 3-2 during FY19. Approximately 99 of an estimated 106, or 93 percent of required metrics have now been approved by Oversight Committee.

The SEMP FY19 Implementation Status Table identifies the SEMP objectives for which monitoring and evaluation protocols were approved and initiated as of the end of FY19. Monitoring and evaluation are now ongoing for all SEMP objectives. However, because there were no Army new construction projects on KNF lands in FY19, no reporting occurred under Objective 3-2 in FY19.
