The Fort Polk-KNF Oversight Committee met quarterly during FY18 to review and evaluate SEMP monitoring results. Committee meetings were held in November 2017 and February, May and August 2018 at Fort Polk, Louisiana.

The Oversight Committee approved eight metrics under Objective 3-2 during FY18. Monitoring under this objective will track environmental regulatory compliance for new Army projects constructed on KNF lands, including compliance with certain requirements under the National Environmental Policy Act, the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, the National Historic Preservation Act, and other USDA Forest Service legal mandates. Approximately 99 of an estimated 106, or 93 percent of required metrics have now been approved by Oversight Committee.

The SEMP FY18 Implementation Status Table identifies the SEMP objectives for which monitoring and evaluation protocols were approved and initiated as of the end of FY18. Monitoring and evaluation is now ongoing for all SEMP objectives, with the exception of Objective 3-2. Reporting for Objective 3-2 will begin in FY19-FY20. A copy of the metrics and performance targets approved as of the end of FY18 is available here.
