FY17 performance monitoring results are available for ten SEMP objectives:
Overall performance results for FY17 are presented in the FY17 Monitoring Results Summary Tables (these tables replace the Performance Results Summary tables reported for prior years). When averaged at the objective level, monitoring performance results were Green (positive/on track) for ten SEMP objectives, Amber (caution/improvement needed) for two objectives, and Red (negative/off track) for one objective. In total, of the SEMP metrics with performance criteria, 76% of SEMP metrics were Green, 7% were Amber, and 17% were Red.
An additional 27 quarterly, semi-annual or annual metrics do not have performance criteria (i.e., “data only” or observational metrics) but provide quantitative monitoring results to the Oversight Committee for evaluation of changes over time and other indicators.
For each Red performance result, the SEMP Oversight Committee determines whether or not a root cause analysis (RCA) will be conducted to identify the underlying cause(s) for the results. Four RCAs were completed in FY17 for Red results reported in FY16 and FY17. Based on those RCAs, one metric was revised, and corrective actions were taken to improve timeliness of stream crossing and sediment basin maintenance, and for Limited Use Area land line maintenance.
More detailed SEMP monitoring results are available in the FY17 annual report.
