The Fort Polk-KNF Oversight Committee met quarterly during FY16 to review and evaluate monitoring results. Committee meetings were held in October 2015 and January, April and July 2016.

The Oversight Committee approved six new metrics under Objective 4-3, Limited Use Area Safety and Land Use Compatibility, and reporting began for this objective in FY16. In addition, minor revisions were approved for two metrics under Objective 1-3, Water Resource Protection/Stream Crossing and Sediment Basin Maintenance. Reporting will begin for Objective 1-3 in the 2nd quarter of FY17.

The FY 2016 Monitoring and Evaluation Status Summary Table identifies the SEMP objectives for which monitoring and evaluation protocols were approved and initiated as of the end of FY 2016, along with the future years in which monitoring and evaluation for the remaining SEMP objectives is expected to begin.

At the close of FY16, monitoring requirements had been developed for all but one SEMP objective (Objective 3-2), and monitoring and evaluation was underway for 12 of 14 SEMP objectives. A copy of the metrics and performance targets approved as of the end of FY 2016 is available here.
