The Fort Polk-KNF Oversight Committee held quarterly meetings during fiscal year (FY) 2015, with meetings occurring in October 2014 and January, April and July 2015.
The Oversight Committee approved 1 new and 2 revised metrics under Objective 1-1, Maneuver Damage Control, and 6 new measures under Objective 1-3, Water Resource Protection/Stream Crossing and Sediment Basin Maintenance. The new and revised metrics under Objective 1-1 were developed to reflect changes in program management under the Installation’s Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) program. Under Objective 1-3, metrics were adopted to monitor results under the Installation’s stream crossing and sediment basin maintenance program.
The FY 2015 Monitoring and Evaluation Status Summary Table identifies the SEMP objectives for which monitoring and evaluation protocols were approved and initiated as of the end of FY 2015, along with the future years in which monitoring and evaluation for the remaining SEMP objectives is expected to begin.
As of the end of FY 2015, monitoring and evaluation was underway for 11 of 14 SEMP objectives. Monitoring and evaluation will begin under Objective 1-3 in FY16, and development of metrics and performance targets for Objectives 3-2 and 4-3 is also expected to occur in FY16.
