The Fort Polk-KNF Oversight Committee met four times-October, January, April and July-during fiscal year (FY) 2013.

No new metrics were approved by the Oversight Committee in FY13; however, working group meetings were held for Objective 2-3, Louisiana Pine Snake (LPS) Conservation, and multiple proposed measures were developed to correspond with annual reporting metrics in the Revised Candidate Conservation Agreement (CCA) for the LPS. The CCA was signed by Fort Polk and the Kisatchie National Forest and other cooperators in 2013.

The FY 2013 Monitoring and Evaluation Status Summary Table identifies the SEMP objectives for which monitoring and evaluation protocols were implemented as of the end of FY 2013, along with the future years in which monitoring and evaluation for the remaining objectives is expected to begin.

As of the end of FY 2013, monitoring and evaluation was underway for 10 of 14 SEMP objectives, and development of metrics and performance targets had begun for an additional 3 objectives. A copy of the metrics and performance targets approved as of the end of FY 2013 is available here.
