The Fort Polk-KNF Oversight Committee met three times during fiscal year (FY) 2010. The Oversight Committee approved three new SEMP metrics and performance targets under Objective 4-2, Quality of Life for Installation Neighbors – Noise, Wildfires and Road Conditions. An additional 19 metrics and associated performance targets were prepared for review by the SEMP Oversight Committee. These metrics and targets address monitoring questions under Objective 4-2 and Objective 2-4, Bog Monitoring and Mapping. Proposed Objective 4-2 and 2-4 measures will be presented to the SEMP Oversight Committee for approval or modification, as needed, in FY 2011.

The FY 2010 Monitoring and Evaluation Status Summary Table identifies the SEMP objectives for which monitoring and evaluation protocols were implemented as of the end of FY 2010, along with the future years in which monitoring and evaluation for remaining the objectives is expected to begin. As of the end of FY 2010, monitoring and evaluation was underway for 8 of 14 objectives, and development of metrics and performance targets had begun for an additional 4 objectives.
